"When a dog's name has more bark than its bite": In a tail-wagging twist, AIMIM's Farhan has taken issue with Rahul Gandhi's choice of 'Noorie' for his pup, suggesting it's ruffling some religious feathers, seems like every dog really does have its day!

The AIMIM leader is said to have learned the dog’s name from a variety of sources, including Rahul Gandhi’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, and newspapers

AIMIM leader Md Farhan moves to the court against Rahul Gandhi for naming his dog ‘Noorie’, says ‘religious sentiments hurt’

In a riveting twist of events that could only make sense in today's world, an AIMIM leader, Mohammad Farhan, from the grand city of Prayagraj, has brought forth an issue of paramount importance. Hold on to your seats because this is groundbreaking: a dog's name has hurt religious sentiments. Yes, you read that right.

On Thursday, 18th October, Farhan took his deeply wounded feelings to a municipal court. The alleged "tail-wagger" in this entire fiasco? None other than Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Gandhi's unforgivable transgression was to gift his mother, Sonia Gandhi, a dog. The name of this canine criminal? ‘Noorie’. Now, while many might think of Noorie as just another name, for Farhan, it was an affront to his entire community.

The erudite Mohammad Farhan, representing the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), was quick to point out that ‘Noorie’ isn't just a name one throws around. It's tied to Islam and is mentioned in the Quran. Naturally, naming a dog after it is akin to, well, naming a dog after it.

The judicial magistrate's office, perhaps trying to keep a straight face, confirmed this development. They acknowledged that the AIMIM leader, with all his wisdom, has indeed approached the court about this canine conundrum. Stay tuned for the next episode of "When Names Get Too Hairy."

Farhan’s attorney, Muhammad Ali (not to be confused with the boxing legend), took a serious stance on the issue. On Monday, 16th October, they strode into the esteemed Judicial Magistrate Aviral Singh’s court. Their mission? To file a formal complaint against Rahul Gandhi under IPC Section 295 A, which, for those unfamiliar with the intricacies of Indian Penal Code, pertains to - drum roll please - offending religious sentiments. One could imagine the magistrate’s surprise when the subject of the complaint turned out to be a four-legged furball with a wagging tail.

Now, how did the AIMIM leader, you might ask, come across such "sensitive" information about the dog's name? Well, thanks to the marvels of modern technology, he discovered it through diverse and highly reliable sources: Rahul Gandhi’s YouTube channel, his Facebook page, and of course, newspapers. The sheer thoroughness of Farhan's research is, undoubtedly, commendable.

Muhammad Ali, with the gravitas befitting such a significant matter, emphasized that Farhan, in all his magnanimity, had even given Rahul Gandhi a chance to mend his ways. He had benevolently suggested that Gandhi rename his canine companion and issue a heartfelt public apology through newspapers and TV channels. But alas, it seemed that Gandhi remained stoically unaffected by Farhan’s generous counsel.

Muhammad Ali, the lawyer representing the aggrieved AIMIM leader, has dutifully informed the public that the court might soon send a summons to Rahul Gandhi. For a moment, let's pause and imagine the scene: Rahul Gandhi, former president of the Indian National Congress, being summoned over... naming his dog.

But before we drown in the depths of this legal drama, let's backtrack to the origins of this captivating story. One day, as the ever-charismatic Gandhi was traveling in Goa, he chanced upon a Goan family. This wasn't just any ordinary meeting, for they gifted him with a puppy, whose cuteness, we are told, is unparalleled. Taking on the role of the doting dog dad, Gandhi introduced this furry friend to the world in a YouTube video. He flew the little canine to New Delhi and proudly presented her to his mother, Sonia Gandhi.

With all the glee of a child showing off a new toy, Gandhi gushed in the video, “I’d like you all to meet the newest and the cutest member of our family, our little pup, Noorie. She flew in from Goa straight into our arms and has become the light of our lives. Unconditional love and uncompromising loyalty, there is so much this beautiful animal can teach us!”.
