The Mystery Unravels: Arrest Made in the Shocking Murder of Bihar Car Driver

In a chilling development that has captivated the city, Varanasi Crime News reports the arrest of a man linked to the cold-blooded murder of a young car driver from Bihar. On March 2, the grim discovery of the youth's body amidst the desolation of the ruins in the Suarbarwa area, near the serene banks of the Varuna River, sent shockwaves through the community. The police, thrust into action by this gruesome finding, embarked on an intricate investigation.

As the pieces of this dark puzzle began to slowly fit together, a breakthrough came via modern surveillance techniques. It was revealed that the mobile phone belonging to the victim, identified only as Rajkumar, had fallen into the hands of one Sonu Alam. This pivotal clue led investigators down a path that would ultimately unravel the mystery of the murder and bring the perpetrator to justice.

On a fateful Friday, the authorities made their move, apprehending 24-year-old Sonu Alam, the man accused of ending Rajkumar's life in a desolate spot by the Varuna River, within the jurisdiction of Cantt police station in Varanasi. The arrest took place at Shastri Ghat, capturing Alam during a moment of unsuspecting rest on a public platform.

The police were able to recover the deceased driver's stolen keypad mobile phone along with a meager sum of Rs 250 from Alam's possession. Hailing from the Kanshiram Residential Scheme complex under Shivpur police station's area, Alam's motives for the murder were rooted in greed, driven by the hope of a substantial financial gain. Unfortunately, his heinous actions yielded nothing more than a small keypad device and a paltry sum of money. This senseless act not only claimed the life of Rajkumar but also shattered the tranquility of a family, robbing them of joy and leaving behind a void filled with sorrow and despair.

The unraveling of this case reads like the pages of a suspense novel, with technology playing the role of the unexpected hero. The key to unlocking this mystery? A mobile phone, found in the haunting ruins of the Suarbarwa area by the serene Varuna River, which ultimately led to the arrest of the perpetrator.

The accused, identified as Sonu Alam, was ingeniously using the SIM card of the deceased in the very mobile phone that once belonged to Rajkumar, the unfortunate car driver whose life was cruelly snatched away. Alam, a resident of the Kanshiram residence near the Shivpur police station, was found in possession of not only the mobile phone but also the SIM card belonging to Rajkumar. Following this discovery, he was swiftly apprehended and sent to jail, marking a pivotal moment in this harrowing case.

The backdrop to this grim tale began on February 25, when Rajkumar Chaudhary, affectionately known as Pintu, embarked on a journey from Danapur, Patna, in Bihar to the historical city of Varanasi, bringing along a car. Accompanying him were the car owner and several other individuals, all of whom sought accommodation in a hotel located in the cantonment area. The narrative took a dark turn on an afternoon when Rajkumar, having borrowed Rs 500 from his car owner, ventured out for what was supposed to be a leisurely walk. Little did anyone know, this would be the last time he would be seen alive.

The plot thickened on March 2, when Rajkumar's lifeless body was discovered amidst the desolate ruins, a scene that would haunt the memories of those involved for years to come. It wasn't until March 4 that the body was identified, triggering a cascade of actions by the police, including a post-mortem examination to uncover the cause of death. Following the identification, Rajkumar's grieving family filed a murder complaint at the Cantt police station, propelling the investigation forward.

The victim was identified as Rajkumar Chaudhary, who lived in Gajadhar Chak, a place in the Danapur district of Bihar. During the investigation, the police learned from the accused, Sonu Alam, how a seemingly ordinary day turned tragic.

Sonu Alam stumbled upon Rajkumar at a government-run country liquor shop near the Varuna Bridge. Noticing Rajkumar's intoxicated state, Sonu saw an opportunity. He suspected Rajkumar had a good amount of money on him. With this in mind, Sonu enticed Rajkumar to consume even more alcohol, luring him under false pretenses.

The plot thickened as Sonu, with robbery in mind, led Rajkumar to an abandoned area near Suarbarwa, by the banks of the Varuna River. There, in a sinister twist, he didn't just make Rajkumar drink more alcohol but also introduced ganja into the mix. The situation took a dark turn when, amidst the ruins and under the influence, Rajkumar was brutally attacked by Sonu.

In a horrifying act driven by greed, Sonu Alam resorted to violence to achieve his ends. He used bricks and stones to viciously strike Rajkumar's head and face, inflicting fatal injuries. The motive behind this brutal and cold-blooded murder was shockingly petty. For merely ₹250 and a mobile phone, Sonu Alam robbed Rajkumar Chaudhary of his life. The 35-year-old's life was cruelly cut short, all for a small sum of money and a piece of technology, highlighting the tragic value placed on human life in this heinous crime.

The Final Clues: Unraveling Rajkumar Chaudhary's Tragic End

After the merciless killing of Rajkumar Chaudhary, the criminal, Sonu Alam, rummaged through Rajkumar's pockets. All he found was a keypad mobile phone and a small amount of cash, totaling Rs 250. These were the spoils of a heinous crime, taken by Sonu as he fled the scene of his brutal act. This chilling event marked the beginning of a mystery that would soon grip the local community.

Days passed, and the silence of the crime scene was broken on March 2, when Deepak Mishra, a neighbor, sensed a disturbing odor emanating from the ruins. The smell was so foul it compelled him to alert the police. Upon their arrival, the officers were confronted with a harrowing sight: Rajkumar's body was in a state of advanced decomposition, his facial features obliterated by the violence inflicted upon him. In response to this grim discovery, the authorities initiated their investigation, treating the case as anonymous due to the unrecognizable condition of the victim.

This tragic story began with Rajkumar, a driver from Danapur, Bihar, employed by Sandeep Sinha. On February 25, Rajkumar, alongside four others, embarked on a journey to Varanasi. Their purpose was spiritual, intending to offer prayers at the revered Srikashi Vishwanath Dham. Upon their arrival, the group checked into a hotel within the cantonment area, a temporary home for their holy mission.

Following their devotional activities, Rajkumar, feeling adventurous, decided to explore the city. He borrowed Rs 500 from his companions for this leisurely excursion. Tragically, this decision led to his disappearance. Concern grew as the hours passed without any sign of Rajkumar's return. In the darkness of the evening, his wife, fraught with worry, reached out to Sandeep. She informed him that an attempt to contact Rajkumar resulted in a conversation with a stranger named Alok Kumar, who bluntly stated that Rajkumar was too intoxicated to speak. The following day, with Rajkumar still missing, Sandeep proceeded to the Cantt police station, where he reported Rajkumar as missing.
