Adding to the complexity of the case, a report citing Deepak's grandfather, Advocate Ashok Kumar Chandani, revealed a possible motive for the crime. According to them, Deepak happened to witness an illegal act involving Ejad and his family members. While Deepak was taking a walk near the fields on February 29th, he stumbled upon Ejad and his family engaging in the act of cow slaughter.
