अथ रामचरितमानस प्रकाशन कथा: गीता प्रेस, गोरखपुर ने 1938 से रामचरितमानस का प्रकाशन शुरू किया
रामचरितमानस के अब तक जितने भी संस्करण निकले हैं, उनमें गीता प्रेस द्वारा प्रकाशित मानस सर्वोत्कृष्ट और प्रामाणिक है। शुद्ध पाठ के अलावा इसमें जितने रेखा चित्र और रंगीन चित्र दिए गए हैं, उतने शायद ही मानस के किसी संस्करण में हों। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि मानस के प्रकाशन के लिए भाईजी और उनके सहयोगियों ने काफी शोध और अध्ययन किया। जगह-जगह से पाण्डुलिपियों की नकल मंगाई, तब जाकर इसे प्रकाशित किया जा सका।
