Bhabua (Kaimur): In a chilling discovery that has shaken the small subdivision of Chainpur in Bihar's Kaimur district, the headless body of a young woman was found near Madurni hill on January 11. This gruesome incident has not only horrified locals but also posed significant challenges to law enforcement in terms of identification and investigation.
The lifeless body was located in close proximity to Madurni hill, a place now marked by this tragic event. The young woman's body was found decapitated, her head nowhere to be found. This horrifying condition of the corpse significantly hampered the identification process, adding layers of complexity to an already distressing situation.
Local police, upon discovering the body, undertook the necessary procedures. A post-mortem examination was conducted to ascertain the cause of death and gather any forensic evidence that might aid in the investigation. Following this, the body was released to the family, marking a somber moment for loved ones awaiting news.
Compounding the family's grief was the manner in which they learned of their loss. Amidst their frantic search for their missing daughter, a startling and heart-wrenching revelation came through social media. A photograph of a beheaded corpse began circulating, a shocking image that would lead the deceased girl's sister to a devastating realization. Upon arriving at the hospital to see the body, she was confronted with the unbearable truth: the lifeless body, cruelly displayed on social media, was that of her own sister.
In the serene yet now somber setting of Madurni hill, the search for the missing head continued in vain. Law enforcement, faced with the challenge of identifying the victim without her head, resorted to posting photos of the body on social media and various WhatsApp groups. This unconventional method, driven by necessity, eventually led to the identification of the young woman. Her sister, recognizing the clothes on the body, confirmed her identity, a moment of closure amidst a sea of unanswered questions.
This tragic event falls under the jurisdiction of the Chainpur police station, located in the bustling market area of the city.
The police, initially grappling with limited leads, shifted their focus to the deceased girl's mobile phone, a decision that would soon unravel the mystery surrounding her tragic demise.
In their pursuit of justice, the police meticulously interrogated the deceased's relatives about her mobile phone. This line of inquiry led to the identification of her mobile number, a pivotal piece of evidence in the investigation. With the mobile number in hand, the police proceeded to obtain the call details associated with it.
The analysis of these call records revealed multiple conversations between the girl's number and another specific number. The police then skillfully extracted the details and location of this second number, marking a crucial turn in the investigation. The story was starting to unfold, but key elements remained elusive.
The next step involved tracking the locations of both mobile phones. The investigation revealed that the phones were together, a finding that heightened the urgency of the case. Why Was the Woman Murdered?
During the interrogation, Shameem Quraishi revealed unsettling details about his relationship with the victim. Both he and the woman attended the same coaching center, a place where their paths tragically crossed. Quraishi admitted to growing increasingly suspicious of the woman's involvement with another young man. This suspicion led to a fateful day when, under the guise of presenting her with a surprise gift, he took her on a bike ride near Madurni hill. It was in this secluded location that a dispute erupted, culminating in the tragic and brutal act of murder. In a fit of rage, Quraishi beheaded the woman, a chilling testament to the violent turn of events.

The intention behind this letter was to divert attention and save the perpetrator from suspicion. However, the truth was uncovered through diligent police work, leading to the arrest of Shameem Quraishi and the unraveling of the actual events behind this horrifying crime.
