In Nagpur's Dussehra speech, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat examines Bharat's progress and societal hurdles, champions unity, vigilance, and national pride, Shankar Mahadevan commends RSS for upholding the 'Akhand Bharat' ideology', says 'Salute You'
In a recent event, renowned singer-composer, Shankar Mahadevan, extended his deep appreciation towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for their unwavering efforts in safeguarding the cultural and traditional values of India. He particularly emphasized their commitment to upholding the idea of 'Akhand Bharat'.

Speaking at the annual Vijayadashami Utsav, hosted by RSS in Nagpur's Reshimbagh area, Mahadevan, attending as the chief guest, expressed his profound admiration for the organization's dedication to the nation. "What words could possibly do justice to the immense contributions of the RSS in maintaining the essence of 'Akhand Bharat', and in preserving our age-old traditions and cultural heritage?" Mahadevan remarked. "All I can offer is my deepest respect and salute."
The atmosphere became more poignant when Mahadevan began his address with a heartfelt rendition of the Saraswati Vandana, a hymn dedicated to the goddess of knowledge. Adding to the aura of reverence, he recited the mantra ‘Om Asatoma Sadgamaya’, highlighting its significance as a prayer for global harmony. Mahadevan stressed, “This mantra is not just a chant but a prayer for the peace and well-being of every individual. This embodies the very essence of our great nation.”
Mahadevan's heartfelt speech and his recognition of RSS's commitment towards the preservation of India's traditions and culture have resonated with many, reflecting the significance of maintaining continuity with our roots while navigating the modern world.
Continuing his address, Shankar Mahadevan shared a touching anecdote about his interaction with the RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat. The meet-up, which took place in Mumbai, was characterized by Mahadevan as not only enlightening but also deeply rewarding. He highlighted the genuineness of the encounter, saying, "The invitation extended to me had a touch of personal warmth, which I hold very dear."

Adding to his experiences, the acclaimed artist mentioned his visit to the Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur. This revered site, dedicated to the memory of RSS's founding luminary, Dr. K B Hedgewar, left a profound impression on Mahadevan. The meticulousness with which the Sangh's Dussehra program was conducted did not go unnoticed by the singer, who lauded the impeccable organization and coordination on display.
His experiences culminated in an exuberant declaration of pride. "Today, my heart swells with even more pride in identifying as a Bharatiya Nagrik," Mahadevan asserted.
In a related note, earlier in the day, the Vijayadashami Utsav witnessed Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS chief, conducting the 'Shastra Pooja', a significant ritual associated with the festival. Joining him in commemorating the occasion were prominent figures like Maharashtra's deputy chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, and Union minister, Nitin Gadkari, who were both in attendance donning the iconic Sangh uniform.
Mohan Bhagwat, during the Dussehra gathering, shifted focus to the disconcerting situation in Manipur. Delving into the historically peaceful coexistence of the Meitei and Kuki communities, the RSS chief expressed perplexity over the sudden flare-up of violence between them. "For years, these communities have been living side by side in harmony. The abrupt eruption of this conflict makes one wonder about the forces at play," he mused.
Furthering his thoughts, Bhagwat hinted at the possible intervention of "external forces" that stand to gain from such internal conflicts. He posed a pressing question, asking, “With the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, having spent three days in the region, who exactly instigated this conflict? This is not just a spontaneous occurrence – it’s orchestrated.”
In the broader context, Bhagwat turned his attention to the impending 2024 general elections. Drawing attention to the volatile nature of emotions during election periods, he sounded an alarm about potential ploys to stir public sentiment for vote garnering. The chief passionately appealed to the citizens, urging them to cast their votes judiciously. "When you step into the voting booth, remember to consider the unity, integrity, identity, and development of our nation," he advised.

Bhagwat Sounds the Alarm on Disruptive Forces: Top Highlights from His Vijayadashami Address
On October 24, during the annual Vijayadashami program organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Nagpur's Reshimbagh area, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a compelling address to thousands of volunteers. He spoke passionately about the challenges India faces, particularly in the lead-up to the imminent assembly elections in five states and the pivotal 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Emphasizing the gravity of the responsibility resting on the voters, Bhagwat underscored the importance of casting their votes judiciously, opting for candidates who genuinely uphold the nation's interests.
He also expressed deep concerns over certain disruptive elements in society, stating outright, “Some elements deliberately disrupt peace in India. Fanaticism only breeds chaos." Bhagwat cautioned against those attempting to stoke division and conflict, warning the public of individuals who might resort to inflammatory remarks and deceptive tactics to sway sentiments. He emphasized that such fanaticism and chaos are not merely confined to India but have implications leading to global conflicts. The essence of his message was clear: the electorate must be discerning, prioritizing unity, and steering clear of divisive forces that threaten to destabilize the nation's fabric.
“Some elements deliberately disrupt peace in India. Fanaticism only breeds chaos, leading to conflicts worldwide,” he said.

Mohan Bhagwat's Alert on the "Woke": Unmasking the Pretense Behind Ideological Cloaks
In a recent address, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat delved into an analysis of societal forces that have raised eyebrows in many quarters. “The purpose of Bharat’s rise has always been the welfare of the world," he said, underscoring the noble ambitions behind India's growth. However, he astutely pointed out the underbelly of this ascent: “But as a natural consequence of this rise, the selfish, discriminatory and deceitful forces seeking their sectarian interests are subject to curbs and regulations. Hence, there is a continuous opposition from them.”
Such opposition is not always transparent. On the surface, these opposing forces might appear to align with grand, overarching objectives, cloaked in various ideological banners. Yet, irrespective of the ideologies they claim, Bhagwat emphasized that people with genuine integrity stand as unwavering bulwarks against these insincere and detrimental entities.
Delving deeper into the identity of these adversaries, Bhagwat identified them as the "destructive, all-devouring forces" that often label themselves as cultural Marxists or the "woke". He noted, “These forces call themselves cultural Marxists or Woke, or the awakened ones.” Yet, in a sharp critique, he went on to remark that despite them aligning themselves with Marx's teachings, they seem to have "forgotten Marx since the 1920s."
Bhagwat's words paint a picture of a faction that, under the guise of progressiveness, denounces various pillars of societal integrity. "Such so-called ‘wokes’ reject all forms of discipline, morality, goodness, culture, dignity, and restraint,” he observed. Their ultimate objective, as Bhagwat warns, is not the betterment of society but rather a nefarious ambition: to breed chaos and lawlessness, enabling a minuscule segment of individuals to seize disproportionate power over the human collective. It serves as a clarion call for society to remain discerning, recognizing the true intentions behind such ideological veils.

The "Woke" Agenda: An Insight into Media and Academic Control
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat delves deeper into the modus operandi of the 'woke' entities, shedding light on their strategic incursions into pivotal societal institutions. "Such people’s strategy," he warns, "entails seizing control of the media and academics, causing uncertainty, disorder, and corruption in the fields of education, culture, politics, and the social environment."
This calculated chaos serves a sinister purpose: breeding a relentless cycle of fear, confusion, and animosity. By doing so, they not only disrupt the societal fabric but also make it susceptible to further external manipulations. Bhagwat laments how a society "fractured and mired in internal conflicts" becomes a soft target for such forces. He illuminates the traditional Bharatiya term for such divisive tactics: "Mantra Viplav," which revolves around sowing seeds of distrust and fostering mutual disdain among a nation's populace.
But what's more concerning, according to Bhagwat, is the increasing political liaison with these divisive forces. Aimed at outmaneuvering political adversaries, such collaborations are driven by myopic objectives without considering the broader national implications. "This is unwise and detrimental to the nation," Bhagwat unequivocally states. He paints a sobering picture of a society that's "already amnesic, torn apart by all kinds of conflicts," and plunged into a self-destructive chase for vain, resentment-filled goals.
As the narrative approaches its climax, Bhagwat leaves us in suspense, hinting at the ever-present and escalating threat of these "demonic powers." His cautionary tale serves as an urgent call to action, urging society to recognize and resist the encroachment of these destructive forces.
That is why these demonic powers are able to get the support of internal or external forces who want to break the society and the nation, Bhagwat added, citing the example of the recent conflict in Manipur to prove his point.
Manipur Violence: The External Play and Unanswered Questions
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, during the annual Dussehra event, highlighted the concerning rise in sudden unrest in Manipur—a state known for its peace over the past decade. Drawing attention to the abrupt and intensified animosity between the Meiteis and Kukis, Bhagwat proposed the idea that this isn't an isolated or indigenous conflict but is being manipulated by vested interests or potentially external forces.
According to him, these manipulations not only focus on heightening regional discords but also attempt to malign organizations like the RSS, which have historically played a role in trying to restore peace and unity. "Who has a vested interest in trying to drag and besmirch an organization like the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh...?" he asked, emphasizing the RSS's long-standing commitment to unbiased service.
Furthermore, Bhagwat's remarks offered a broader geopolitical perspective. With Manipur's strategic position between Nagabhoomi and Mizoram, and its significance in Southeast Asia's geopolitics, the recent turmoil raises imperative questions: Who benefits from such disruptions in this border area? Even with a stable government at the helm, what or who fuels this prolonged unrest? Why did the turmoil erupt and persist despite the state's efforts to uphold the peace it achieved over the last nine years?
While pointing out the overwhelming desire for peace from both conflicting sides, Bhagwat's poignant question sheds light on the underlying malevolent forces at play. "Now, when people on both sides of the conflict are seeking peace, which are these forces that are attempting to trigger hatred and violence...?"
Bhagwat's discourse serves as a stark reminder that the Manipur conflict isn't just a regional issue, but may be a cog in a larger, more intricate geopolitical machine. His queries underscore the need for deeper introspection, not just within India but also on the international stage, to identify and counteract these shadowy entities fostering unrest.

Bharat on the Global Stage: Leadership, Expectations, and Diplomatic Excellence
Amidst the turbulent global landscape, with events like the Israel-Hamas war as a backdrop, Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Chief, urged India (referred to as Bharat) to play a pivotal role. In his view, global issues such as totalitarianism, exploitation, and acts of terrorism have exposed the inadequacy of the world's limited perspective. Bhagwat opined that the world, aware of India's rich heritage of Sanatan ideals and Sanskars, looks towards the nation with hope, expecting it to lead by example.
To bolster this idea of India's growing global importance, Bhagwat also highlighted the recent G-20 summit hosted by India. The summit, an annual affair, took on a special significance this time around due to the exceptional hospitality showcased by India. The move to include the African Union on the very first day was hailed as a significant gesture.
He elaborated on the international admiration garnered by India during the summit. The distinctive Indian blend of diplomatic finesse combined with genuine goodwill was evident to attendees from various countries. They not only witnessed the country's rich cultural diversity but also got a firsthand experience of its hospitality.
Praising India's accomplishments, Bhagwat underscored the country's rising stature on the global stage. He stated, "Every year, India’s pride is increasing in the world... They saw our diplomatic skills as well as our honest goodwill. Our leadership gave India a place in the world.”
Through his remarks, Bhagwat emphasized that India's unique ethos and diplomatic efforts have positioned it as a beacon of hope and leadership in the international arena. The nation's progress and initiatives, as seen through events like the G-20 summit, reaffirm this pivotal role that India plays in shaping the global narrative.

Bharat's Tryst with Sports, Science, and Spirituality: A Celebration of Achievements
Highlighting India's commendable trajectory in diverse domains, Mohan Bhagwat, during the annual ‘Vijayadashmi Utsav’ in Nagpur, hailed India's recent milestones as emblematic of its unstoppable progress. His narrative, interspersing historical significance with modern accomplishments, underscored how India is making waves on the global stage.
A pinnacle of India's scientific endeavour was the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the moon’s south pole on August 23, 2023. This monumental achievement not only placed India in an elite group of lunar explorers, joining the ranks of the United States, the former Soviet Union, and China, but also marked it as the first nation to achieve a soft landing on the moon’s elusive south pole. Bhagwat extolled the Indian scientists behind this feat, emphasizing the significance of this achievement in showcasing India's advanced capabilities in space exploration.
Furthermore, India's accomplishments were not just limited to the realm of space. The recent achievements in sports and the completion of the Ram Mandir showcased the nation's multifaceted development. Bhagwat's address painted a picture of a country that, while deeply rooted in its traditions and spiritual values, is making remarkable strides in the fields of science and sports. The essence of his message was clear: Bharat, in its diverse pursuits, continues to march forward with unwavering determination and pride.
In his address, Mohan Bhagwat dedicated a significant portion to celebrate India's commendable achievements on both terrestrial and extraterrestrial fronts. At the Asian Games, India's athletes outperformed expectations, bringing home a whopping 107 medals, surpassing the century mark for the first time. The tally, consisting of 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze medals, stands testament to the sporting talent and dedication that thrives in the country. Bhagwat extended his heartfelt congratulations to these athletes, acknowledging their dedication and the hard work they put in to elevate the nation's name on the international sports stage.
However, not limiting his address to earthly pursuits, he proceeded to spotlight the stellar achievements of Indian scientists in space exploration. The successful Chandrayaan Mission was heralded as an embodiment of the resurgence of India's strength, intelligence, and tact. Emphasizing the harmonious blend of political will and scientific prowess, Bhagwat celebrated the Vikram Lander's historic landing on the Moon's South Pole, a first in the annals of space exploration. The nationwide jubilation and pride resonating from this achievement were palpable in his words.
In his discourse, Bhagwat underscored the unity of purpose and collaborative spirit, both in sports and space exploration, which have carved a niche for India in the global arena. He hailed the scientists, athletes, and supportive leadership for their roles in these national accomplishments. The underlying theme was evident: India, in its unity and talent, is achieving unprecedented feats, drawing admiration and congratulations from all quarters.
Ayodhya and Dussehra Celebrations: A Testament to Tradition and Unity
During his address, the RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat touched upon the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a matter of great reverence and emotion in India. He announced the much-anticipated installation of Lord Ram’s idol in the Ayodhya temple, scheduled for January 22, 2024. With this act, the temple's sanctity will be further accentuated. Instead of one grand event, he advocated for multiple small-scale events across the nation on the occasion of Ramlala’s consecration. In his view, this decentralization would aid in awakening the inner 'Ram' in every individual, leading to a personal transformation. By adorning the 'Ayodhya of the mind', people could foster an environment brimming with affection, responsibility, and goodwill, thereby strengthening the social fabric.
Reflecting on traditions, the mention of the RSS's annual Dussehra event in Nagpur, ongoing since 1925, underscored the organization's commitment to celebrating Indian culture and values. This year, the program had a special touch with the invitation extended to renowned singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan as the chief guest. His participation in the Shastra Puja, a ritualistic worship of weapons, added a unique flavor to the event, merging the traditional with the artistic. The presence of notable figures like Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also highlighted the importance and relevance of the event in the contemporary scenario.
In essence, the event at Reshimbagh ground, followed by Bhagwat's address, became a confluence of tradition, leadership, and cultural pride, underlining the deep-rooted values that the RSS seeks to uphold and propagate.
