3 J&K Government Officials Sacked For Terror Links; 2 Infiltrators Shot Dead

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) are witnessing a resolute fight against terrorism. In a significant move, the LG administration of Jammu Kashmir has terminated three government officials allegedly linked to terror outfits based in Pakistan. The sacked officials include Faheem Aslam, the PRO of Kashmir University, Murawath Hussain from the Revenue Department, and Police Constable Arshid Ahmad. The investigation found them involved in providing support to terrorists, propagating terror ideology, and raising funds for terrorist activities.

The decision to terminate these officials was made under section 311 (2) (c) of the Indian Constitution after conclusive evidence established their connections with Pakistan's ISI and terrorist organizations. This action brings the total number of sacked individuals to 52, showcasing the government's firm stance against terrorism.

Simultaneously, the Indian Army has been proactive in countering infiltrations. In a recent operation in Poonch, two infiltrators were neutralized, preventing a major security breach. The joint operation conducted by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully thwarted the infiltration bid. The search operations are ongoing, ensuring the safety of the region.

Another commendable anti-terror operation led to the recovery of two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the Wodhpura area of North Kashmir's Handwara. Through swift coordination between the Indian Army and Handwara Police, these sophisticated IEDs, weighing approximately 5 and 7 kilograms, were discovered in the jungle area. The expertise of the Indian Army's explosive detection team, equipped with advanced detectors and trained dogs, ensured the safe handling and controlled detonation of the IEDs.

The joint security forces' immediate response and thorough search operation in the Wodhpura Forest prevented a potential major incident in the area. This successful operation highlights the commitment of the security forces to maintaining peace and safety in Jammu and Kashmir.

Under the leadership of LG Manoj Sinha, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. Stringent actions are being taken against anyone involved in malicious activities, aligning with the government's determination to eradicate terrorism from the region.

The concerted efforts of the government, security forces, and intelligence agencies demonstrate a united front in combating terrorism, protecting the people, and upholding national security. These developments instill a sense of pride and nationalism, assuring the citizens of a safer and more secure Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir University employee exposed as propagandist for Terror outfits

Introduction: Faheem Aslam, a Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Kashmir University, has been revealed as a key propagandist for terrorists and terror outfits in the Kashmir Valley. This article explores the details surrounding his appointment, his close connections with separatist leaders, and his involvement in promoting secessionism and terrorism.

Faheem Aslam was planted in Kashmir University in August 2008 by Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Initially hired as a contractual employee, he was later confirmed in his position. The University then selected him to serve as a media reporter, given the campus's reputation as a hub for secessionist activism and breeding ground for terrorism. Shockingly, Faheem's appointment bypassed public advertisement, interviews, and police verification.

In clear violation of the constitutional requirement of equal opportunity for all candidates in publicly funded positions, Faheem Aslam received an appointment letter without undergoing interviews, competition, or police/CID verification. He essentially entered public employment through a clandestine backdoor process, without affording others a fair chance at the position.

Besides being a close aide of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Faheem Aslam shared a strong bond with Yasin Malik, a terrorist and Kashmiri separatist sentenced to life imprisonment for terror funding activities in Jammu and Kashmir. As an activist and organizer, Faheem played a significant role in planning and executing violent agitations in 2008, 2010, and 2016, particularly within the Kashmir University campus.

At a time when Kashmir is striving for peace following the abrogation of Article 370, Faheem Aslam continues to influence university students towards secessionism. This alarming situation is regarded as a threat to national security, as his actions hinder the region's progress and stability.

Investigations have revealed that Faheem Aslam wrote numerous posts advocating for the secession of Jammu and Kashmir and its merger with Pakistan after the abrogation of Article 370. Although some of these posts were later deleted, they were retrieved and form crucial evidence against him. Journalist Aditya Raj Kaul highlighted this development on Twitter, referring to Faheem as a "hardcore Pak Embedded High-Value Asset (PEHVA)" responsible for promoting and glamorizing terrorism.

Faheem Aslam used his position to spread his secessionist agenda through writings published in the Kashmir-based newspaper, 'Greater Kashmir.' Shockingly, while receiving a salary from the state exchequer, he was simultaneously employed by the newspaper since 2008, without seeking permission from the university. He concealed his wrongdoings by receiving his newspaper salary in cash. Records suggest that he was a permanent staffer at 'Greater Kashmir,' actively filing reports and functioning as a full-time sub-editor.

In 2020, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at multiple locations in Srinagar, including the office of 'Greater Kashmir.' The NIA initiated the investigation to probe allegations of fund-raising activities by an NGO accused of using the Hawala racket to finance terrorism in the Kashmir valley.

The exposure of Faheem Aslam as a propagandist for terrorists and his clandestine activities at Kashmir University raise serious concerns about national security. His appointment bypassed essential procedures, and his close associations with separatist leaders and active involvement in violent agitations emphasize the urgent need for a thorough investigation and appropriate action to protect the region's stability and peace.

Revenue Department Officer Murawath Hussain Mir

Introduction: Murawath Hussain Mir, a former Junior Assistant in the Revenue Department, has been terminated by the Jammu and Kashmir administration. This article reveals his extensive involvement in the terrorist and secessionist movement in J&K, his support for outlawed organizations, and his role in facilitating extortion and planning terrorist activities.

Murawath Hussain Mir was hired as a Junior Assistant in the Revenue Department in 1985. However, when the terrorist and secessionist movement gained momentum in J&K in 1990, he became deeply involved in it. He not only embraced the secessionist ideology but also acted as a key facilitator for banned terror organizations like Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and J&K Liberation Front (JKLF). This gave them unrestricted access to the Pampore Tehsil Office.

According to sources, Murawath served as a conduit for terrorists to extort monthly "donations" from fellow employees. This illicit practice enabled the terror outfits to generate funds for their activities and maintain a network of support within the government system.

Murawath Hussain Mir's involvement with HM and JKLF extended beyond extortion. Over time, he became one of their most crucial and trusted over-ground workers. As an OGW, he provided valuable assistance to the terrorist organizations in various ways, aiding their activities and ensuring their smooth functioning.

In October 1995, security authorities apprehended Murawath Hussain Mir along with four HM and JKLF terrorists in Rajbagh, Srinagar. During interrogation, they disclosed their plans to carry out a significant bombing in Srinagar. Substantial quantities of explosives and bombs were subsequently recovered from their possession. Mir spent only eight months behind bars before being released and managing to re-enter the government system.

Despite the lapse of 28 years since Murawath's arrest and subsequent release, the system has failed to hold him accountable for his misdeeds. This lack of accountability raises concerns about the state's vulnerability to capture by adversaries and the urgent need for systemic reforms.

Founding of Falah-e-Behbood Committee: In 2007, Murawath Hussain established the Falah-e-Behbood committee in Pampore town and has been its president ever since. Intelligence inputs indicate that this committee played a significant role during periods of public unrest in 2008, 2010, and 2016. Its activities have contributed to the destabilization of the region during these periods, further highlighting Mir's involvement in perpetuating violence.

The termination of Murawath Hussain Mir reveals his deep involvement in terrorism, including facilitating extortion and serving as an over-ground worker for outlawed terror organizations in J&K. The system's failure to hold him accountable for his actions over the years underscores the urgent need for comprehensive reforms to prevent the capture of key institutions by adversaries. It is crucial for the administration to address these issues and take appropriate measures to ensure peace, stability, and accountability in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police Constable Arshid Ahmad Thoker

Arshid Ahmad Thoker joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police force in 2006 as a constable, initially serving in the Armed Police and later in the Executive Police from 2009 onwards. After completing his Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC), he successfully transferred to District Srinagar. Throughout his career, Arshid predominantly worked as a Personal Security Officer (PSO) and driver for various police and civil personnel, providing them protection.

However, Arshid's path took a dark turn when he encountered Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, also known as RK, an enthusiastic supporter of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist group. RK, the son of Mohammad Kamal Ganie, hails from Sheikhpora Wathoora, Budgam. Mushtaq introduced Arshid to the JeM network, transforming him into a vital facilitator and conduit for the terrorist organization in the Chadoora-Kakapora region, specifically in Budgam and Pulwama.

On May 31, 2020, based on specific intelligence received by the Chadoora Police Station regarding suspicious activities of terrorists and their allies in the Wathoora and Dooniwara areas, a joint operation involving the Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Army was launched. They established a checkpoint at Dooniwari Bridge to apprehend the terrorists and their associates. During the inspection, Arshid, along with his associates, was detained.

The investigation revealed that Arshid exploited his position as a police officer to provide transportation for JeM terrorists. His authority and credentials allowed him to operate as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for the terrorist group effectively. This unauthorized and deceitful utilization of his role had severe consequences for the security and stability of the region.

Disturbingly, this is not an isolated incident. Earlier this year, three government employees were dismissed for similar reasons. In the previous year, the Jammu and Kashmir administration suspended five of its employees after discovering their links with terrorist organizations, including Hizbul Mujahideen, Jamaat e Islami, and the Islamic State.

According to reports, with the recent termination of three government officials, a total of 52 officers have now been fired due to their involvement with various terrorist organizations. This alarming trend highlights the pressing need for stringent measures to prevent the infiltration of such individuals into positions of authority and to safeguard the peace and security of the region.

LG Administration's Action on J&K Employees Sparks Controversy, Mehbooba Mufti Reacts

The recent decision by the Jammu and Kashmir government to terminate the services of three employees has stirred up controversy, with Mehbooba Mufti, the Chief of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), criticizing the move. The decision to invoke Article 311 (2) of the Indian Constitution and dismiss the employees, including the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University of Kashmir, has led Mufti to accuse the LG administration of institutionalizing a permanent state of disintegration in J&K.

Mufti took to Twitter to express her concerns, stating that criminalizing individuals' livelihoods based on dubious claims of "terror links" at a time when the state is already grappling with high unemployment rates only deepens the trust deficit. She further criticized the use of Article 311(2)(b) of the Indian Constitution, alleging its misuse in this case.

Understanding Article 311(2) | Article 311(2) grants the President of India or the Governor the power to dismiss government employees without providing them with an opportunity to be heard, specifically in cases where their involvement in anti-national activities poses a threat to the country's integrity.

Termination of J&K Government Employees

On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir government utilized this provision and terminated the services of three individuals. Faheem Aslam, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University of Kashmir, Murawath Hussain Mir from the Revenue Department, and Police Constable Arshid Ahmad Thoker were relieved from their positions. The government's decision was based on a thorough investigation that concluded that these employees were actively collaborating with Pakistani terror outfits. The investigation found evidence of their involvement in providing logistics to terrorists, propagating terrorist ideologies, raising terror finances, and promoting a secessionist agenda.

Sources familiar with the matter stated that the government invoked Article 311(2)(c) to sack the employees, highlighting their connections with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and various terror outfits.

The decision to terminate the services of these individuals has raised concerns and sparked debates about the balance between national security and individual rights. While the government maintains that the action was necessary to safeguard the integrity of the nation, critics argue that it may exacerbate the existing trust deficit and hinder efforts to address the unemployment crisis in the region.

The controversy surrounding this issue reflects the complex challenges faced by the Jammu and Kashmir administration in maintaining security while simultaneously addressing the socio-economic concerns of the people. Striking the right balance between these priorities remains a significant task, one that requires careful consideration and effective communication to bridge the trust deficit and promote peace and development in the region.

The Resilience of Kashmir: A new dawn of Peace and Prosperity

DGP | One extraordinary man has accomplished what 17 Prime Ministers before him could not. His name is Narendra Modi, a leader who possesses selflessness and a pure heart, proving that no challenge is insurmountable. With his strategic approach, he has tackled issues head-on, without delay or evasion.

The decline of Pakistan-inspired terrorism has breathed new life into Kashmir's nightlife, a phenomenon unseen for three decades. Businesses, previously forced to close early due to the threat of terrorists and separatists, now have the freedom to thrive after sunset.

The once active terrorists in the Kashmir Valley, aided by Pakistani goons, have been effectively neutralized in recent years. This victory has dismantled their ability to establish a parallel system and brought an end to their dominance. The historic decision to repeal Article 370 on August 5, 2019, has played a pivotal role in restoring Kashmir's former glory. It has united the region with the Indian Union and shattered the influence of anti-peace groups.

Downtown Srinagar now teems with vibrant activities well into the midnight hours. Youths engage in sports like football and cricket, illuminated stadiums allowing them to play fearlessly. The past terrors have vanished with the setting sun.

The strict actions taken by security agencies against armed terrorists have resulted in their eradication. No longer do grenades threaten innocent lives, nor are there counterfires, separatist shutdowns, or instances of stone pelting. Normalcy has returned, and the common citizen of Kashmir breathes a sigh of relief, carrying out their daily tasks in peace.

The revival of nightlife has breathed new life into businesses, enabling them to remain open later into the night. Sales and profits soar as customers flock to establishments that were once forced to close early. The Jammu Kashmir Tourism Department, which previously advised visitors to enter hotels before 8 pm, now welcomes them to experience the magic of Kashmir's nightlife.

The glittering lights of the rotating houseboats on Dal Lake transform it into a dazzling diamond. Shikara owners now enjoy extended working hours, attracting a greater number of customers. Heritage tours, artist performances, and midnight musical shows add a new dimension to Kashmir's nightlife.

Hotels, eateries, and fast food stands, once shuttered at sundown, now stay open until dawn. Inox, Kashmir's first multiplex, inaugurated by J&K UT Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, symbolizes the resurgence of entertainment venues. Movie theaters, forced to close in the early 1990s due to the rise of Pakistan-inspired terrorism, have returned to the spotlight. Pulwama and Shopian, previously considered terrorist hotspots, now boast two multipurpose cinema theatres.

Under the previous political regime, the revival of Kashmir's nightlife was not a priority. The instability and the experiments conducted by Pakistani proxies on the people were tolerated by politicians who governed J&K until the repeal of Article 370.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has demonstrated that strong leaders can make bold decisions for the betterment of their people. Since 2019, the central government has ensured that all citizens, including those in Jammu and Kashmir, receive equal services and opportunities.

In J&K, the common man has taken the lead, and the government has gone to great lengths to ensure their crucial role in upholding peace and order. The people of J&K are now integral contributors to progress, peace, and prosperity, proudly standing as a testament to their resilience and the nation's collective growth.
