Ever since its inception, the CDRI has witnessed a consistent enlargement in its membership. As of the current scenario, thirty-one countries, six international organizations, and two private sector organizations have enlisted as members of the CDRI. The coalition has been successful in attracting a heterogeneous assortment of members, ranging from economically advanced nations, developing countries, to countries that are particularly susceptible to climate change and disasters.

The approval of the signed Headquarters Agreement between the GoI and the CDRI will streamline the process of granting exemptions, immunities, and privileges as contemplated under Section-3 of the United Nations (Privileges & Immunities) Act, 1947. This will confer the CDRI with an independent and international legal persona, thus empowering it to carry out its international functions with an elevated level of efficiency.
