Surat Municipal Corporation may lose second property to Waqf Board in just three months because of what appears to be a case of sheer negligence to update the records. Waqf Board has got a stay on the demolition of illegal madarsa to build on Surat Municipal Corporation land because the district administration reportedly did not update records on time.

On Wednesday, February 2, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla schooled Wayanad MP and Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi for interfering with Parliamentary norms during the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s speech in the Lok Sabha.
